The limited Vineyards Selection series by Villa Yambol now features a white wine. Vineyards Selection Troyanovo is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Troyanovo and Karageorgievo micro regions where these varieties are grown. Both areas are known for their suitability for white grape varieties, which lend themselves to be made into elegant wines with intense bouquet.

The vineyard where the leading Sauvignon Blanc is grown is located in Troyanovo, a village nestled between Stara Planina and Strandzha mountains. Chakurliika, a small mountain creek that ultimately flows into Burgas Lake, flows nearby. Bodies of water tend to make air temperature changes less extreme. For example, the air in the vicinity of bodies of water takes more time to cool down or heat up. In a manner of speaking, the creek acts as a temperature regulator which allows the grapes grown here to retain a vibrant acidity signature during the ripening process. A wine is as balanced as the environmental conditions (soil type, solar irradiation, air currents) prevalent in the particular terroir. That is why proximity to bodies of water changes the character and taste characteristics of wines. As a result, the microclimate in Troyanovo, which combines proximity to the Black Sea (only 24 kilometers away) and a creek, allows Villa Yambol to grow grape vines with unique potential.
