The best white wine in the world this year was Chardonnay Barrique 2022 from Romania which was made in Transylvania by Crama La Salina. Of the red wines the highest score was given to Balasto 2017 from Uruguay, made by Everest Wines and Spirits. We would like to remind the reader that last year none other than Vineyards Selection Tenevo 2017 was given the title best red wine in the world. A total of 7,500 samples from 42 countries were submitted for the competition. All wines were tested blindly by world-renowned experts of 45 nationalities. Only 30% of the samples received medals. Next year’s edition of the competition will be held in China.
