The winery received a total of nine awards, with the highest honors going to Kabile Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the red wines in the Vineyards Selection series
Villa Yambol received strong professional recognition after winning an impressive nine awards at the prestigious Vinalies Internationales competition. The producer set a record with four Grand Gold Medals for its wines. In addition, the jury awarded four more gold and one silver medal to Yambol’s wines.
The Vinalies Internationales competition is organized by the Union of Oenologists in France. This year, 2,654 wines from 44 countries were evaluated in late March in Cannes by 107 experts of 31 nationalities. The awards there are considered particularly prestigious due to the strict tasting methodology and the high standards that participants must meet. What’s more, the jury consists mainly of professionals in the wine sector, with one-third being French. With its four Grand Gold Medals, Villa Yambol has earned 2.9% of the highest honors among all wines evaluated from around the world.
These ratings include the Kabile Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, as well as the three red wines in Villa Yambol’s top tier—the terroir-driven Vineyards Selection Topolitsa Syrah 2019, Vineyards Selection Bolyarovo Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, and the iconic Vineyards Selection Tenevo from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot 2020. Four of the producer’s wines were awarded gold: Kabile Reserve Syrah 2019, Kabile Mavrud and Cabernet Sauvignon 2023, Kabile Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay 2025, and Kabile Chardonnay 2025. The newest addition—Villa Yambol Muscat and Ugni Blanc 2025—earned a silver medal. Furthermore, Vineyards Selection Bolyarovo was awarded a record-breaking 96 points.
