The wine is awarded its first prize by a demanding jury at Mondial du Rosé
The premium series of wines Vineyards Selection now has its rosé. It is made from Villa Yambol’s own vineyards from the Tenevo microterroir, which were planted according to the wind rose. Despite it being the wine’s first appearance at an international competition, it managed to take home the gold medal. This happened at this year’s edition of the Mondial du Rosé, part of Vinalies Internationales. More than 800 samples by 400 winemakers were submitted for the competition.
Vineyards Selection Rosé is a blend of three legendary French varieties – Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This well-crafted blend combines perfectly structure (Syrah variety), rich aromatic profile (Cabernet Sauvignon) and freshness and characteristic aromas (from the late ripening Petit Verdot). According to the references of the professional tasters, it impressed them with its beautiful color of ripe raspberry, its magnetic fruity aroma with nuances of grapefruit, mango, kiwifruit and lime, and the wonderful harmony and fresh finale that characterize its taste. The medal from Mondial du Rosé is particularly meaningful because it was bestowed by a very demanding jury in Marseilles and because it was awarded for familiar French varieties.
