Vinprom Yambol\'s products awarded with the Golden Rython and numerous gold medals from Vinaria 2009

At the Annual Ball under the motto "Wine and Love, Love and Wine", part of the International Exhibition of Vine Growing and Wine Producing VINARIA 2009, the distinguishable wines and alcoholic beverages were awarded . For another consecutive year, the Golden Rython was received by Vinprom Yambol's Persona of the variety Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2008. According to the expert jury that had tasted hundreds of wines during the competition this elixir was distinguishable for its rich and inspiring aroma, thickness and perfect balance. The winner from the tasting part of the competition gathered 86,33 points out of maximum 100. Apart from the Golden Rython the Vinprom Yambol was presented with 15 other awards, half of which were gold medals! All other varieties from the brand Persona also received prizes, as well as the pride of the winery -  Straldzhanska Rakia.

The series of high quality wines Persona, well known to the Bulgarian connoisseurs, received 5 awards– Persona Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve received 2 gold medals. The Rose wine from the same series added two more medals to its collection, featuring a golden award from the biggest competition in the world MUNDUS Vini 2006, Germany, medals from USA, London, Prague and many others. Vinprom Yambol is well known among the lovers of a good drink as one of the oldest and most reputable wineries in Bulgaria. Founded more than a century ago, today the Winery is famous for its excellent products even abroad. The Winery is proud from the fact that its has distilled the first muscat rakia in Bulgaria– Straldzhanska. This year's VINARIA awarded the special selection of this rakia with the Jury's recognition.

“The grape ripens in our own vineyards close to the village of Bolyarovo. It is harvested with good technological ripeness, with a good pruning on small volumes- 300kg from decar”, said the manager of Vinprom Yambol, Krasimir Avramov. There is a special technology for the making of Cabernet in order to receive to receive a better thickness. It has a fresh, fruity aroma of cherry stones and raspberry, with good potential and a touch of clove.“ The fermentation takes place in French barrels, where it also matures at the moment ”, Avramov explains.
