Vineyards Selection Tenevo among the Best Bulgarian Wines

Vineyards Selection Tenevo by Villa Yambol made it among the best Bulgarian wines in 2021, taking the prestigious fifth place in DiVino’s Top 50. „This blend stands out with its remarkable depth and complexity. The elegance of its body and the moderate alcohol content differentiate it from the stiffer Thracian wines which typically have higher alcohol content. Lean and noble,” wine experts commented. Vineyards Seleciton Tenevo is made from the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties, 2016 vintage.

Vineyards Selection is a collectable series of wines created by Villa Yambol with the idea of expanding the presentation of some of the most remarkable characteristics of its terroir. The wines come from three micro-regions – Tenevo, Topolitsa and Bolyarovo. “This is not simply the result of hard work and effort; this wine is a dream come true. When we planted our vines in these areas we set before us the goal of creating one-of-a-kind wines that would demonstrate the power of the terroir and the potential that can be unleashed from these classic French varieties,” members of Villa Yambol’s team commented.

The best wines in the chart were assessed by top experts in a blind tasting. This is Villa Yambol’s debut in the top 5 of the chart.
